Three Wishes

Set in the 1950s, a Korean War widow accidentally hits a drifter while driving and breaks his leg when swerving to miss his dog. She and her two sons take him into their home while he recuperates. What only the 5-year-old boy realizes is that the dog is magic, and before the drifter leaves, they will be granted three wishes. This story is about believing in yourself and learning that magic, like happiness, is where you find it.
