Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould

NR 1994 | 94 mins | Documentary

A unique cinematic portrayal of the life of the late Glenn Gould, the controversial and eccentric pianist considered one of the 20th centuries greatest musicians. Taking its structure from Bach's Goldenberg Variations, each of the thirty-two elegantly constructed vignettes represents a variation on the theme of Glenn Gould. Together they depict the many diverse aspects of his life, from age four until his untimely death at the age of fifty.
