Aircraft designer, Jack Hopkins' hobby is traction engines, and in particular 'The Iron Maiden'. But they constantly lead him into trouble. First he loses a large aircraft order from an American tycoon, then 'The Iron Maiden' is backed into a barn, with an important rally imminent. Now repaired, 'The Iron Maiden', with Jack at the controls, enters the rally, culminating in a hilarious and riotous climax.
