The INSPECTOR loses his job to automation - a robot replaces him. He realizes that the only way to get his job back is to destroy the robot. All his attempts at this backfire on him. To add to his troubles, the Commissioner loses his job to the robot too. He and the INSPECTOR wind up in very bad straights before things get better.
