Any film with decent grosses and highly-marketable fast food tie-ins can turn into a trilogy these days - so much so that it's become a standard clause in many an actor's contract. So imagine the novelty of a sequel to a sequel that comes along 16 years later simply because there's more story to tell. Shocking, indeed. Al Pacino returns as an aging Michael Corleone, who after a lifetime of violence and power-mongering seeks to right even a fraction of his wrongs. Easier said than done. Meanwhile, the director's daughter Sofia Coppola picked up a pair of Razzie Awards for her much-maligned performance.
