Mourning the accidental death of his wife, a laconic police psychologist moves to New York with his young son where he is drawn into a series of grizzly, ritualistic murders. Using what meager clues he has, the psychologist discovers that worshippers of Santeria, a form of voodoo, are responsible and that his son may be next.
