Our story follows the traditional adventures of Tom and his best friend Huck Finn as they witness a murder and the frame-up of their friend Muff Potter. The two are inseparable until Huck takes off to find a better future while Tom searches for buried treasure in a treacherous cave. Along the way Tom is swept off his feet by the lovely Becky Thatcher and becomes and unexpected town hero.
