Sheriff John Higgins hangs up his guns after he has accidentally killed his best friend in a gun battle with outlaws, or so he believes. He becomes a prospector, and helps his buddy's sister run her ranch, without disclosing how her brother died. However, the truth is revealed, and he is rewarded with true love.
