Teen Wolf Too

PG 1987 | 94 mins | Comedy

Jason Bateman fills Michael J. Fox's furry shoes in this comedy sequel, as Scott Howard's cousin Todd heads off to college and discovers he's inherited the family werewolf gene. (Who needs to worry about rushing a fraternity or gaining the freshman fifteen when you've got fangs and preternatural athletic abilities?) Instead of basketball, Todd's sport of choice is boxing - but can the new campus hero live with his own success, knowing he's got an unfair advantage?

Top 10 Fun Facts

  1. Thanks "fur" the memories: original Teen Wolf star Michael J. Fox decided against doing the sequel, reportedly because he wasn't thrilled at the idea of sitting through the intense make-up process again.
  2. Actor James Hampton apparently didn't mind the make-up so much - he reprised his wolfy role as Scott Howard's dad (and Todd Howard's uncle) in Teen Wolf Too.
  3. A couple of other characters from the first film turned up in the sequel, but you may not recognize them at first glance. Paul Sand and Stuart Fratkin took over the roles of Coach Finstock and Stiles, respectively.
  4. A family affair: star Jason Bateman had a special relationship with the film's producer - Kent Bateman, his dad.
  5. While Jason Bateman appeared on the big screen as Michael J. Fox's cousin, his sister Justine was simultaneously playing Fox's primetime sister on the sitcom Family Ties.
  6. Like father, like son: Jason Bateman appeared as Michael Landon's adopted son on Little House on the Prairie. And years before Landon played Charles Ingall, he starred in the 1957 horror flick I Was a Teenage Werewolf.
  7. Merchandising matters! During the scene where Todd is looking through Stiles' things, he comes across a Teen Wolf shirt from the first movie.
  8. Look carefully, and you can see Todd's class schedule as Coach Finstock examines his registration card; his courses include Girls' Volleyball and Candle Making. Somebody get that kid an academic advisor!
  9. Do they make hair color for wolf men? Uncle Howard's hair is brown, but when he wolfs out his fur is gray.
  10. From teenage werewolves to little blue men: Teen Wolf Too was edited by Raja Gosnell, who's sitting in the director's chair for 2011's 3D family flick The Smurfs.
