Wouldn't you know - the good citizens of Old Detroit are yet again in need of a little help from everybody's favorite cybernetic police officer.  This time, old Robo's got his armor-plated hands full waging war against a vicious gang called the "Splatterpunks", the OCP corp's strike teams, and get this - robotic ninjas.  That's right - ninjabots!  Of course, it's nothing a few high-tech weapon upgrades can't handle - and before you can say "overkill", the man of steel-plating is dressed to suppress with machine guns, a flamethrower, and a shiny new jet pack.  Let the 'splosions commence!

Top 10 Fun Facts

  1. The cyborg suit worn in "RoboCop 3" was originally built for "RoboCop 2." This was problematic for "RoboCop 3" star Robert John Burke because he was taller than the actor who played the cyborg in the second RoboCop film. The suit fell a little short and made the experience of wearing it painful for Burke.
  2. Freedom fighter Martha Washington from Frank Miller's "Give Me Liberty" was the inspiration for the character of Bertha Washington in "RoboCop 3." I wonder if they used First Lady Martha Washington as inspiration for the character of RoboCop...
  3. The Film "RoboCop 3" was shot in 1991 but it was not until 1993 that theater audiences finally got to see it. The hold up was not in the editing room, but in the business office. Its distributor, Orion Pictures, had gone bankrupt.
  4. Atlanta, Georgia was home to filming for "RoboCop 3," but the abandoned buildings in the movie can no longer be found - they were demolished in 1996 to make room for the Olympics.
  5. "RoboCop 3" was a kinder, gentler RobCop, as it was the first in the franchise to be rated PG-13. RoboCop and RoboCop 2 both received R ratings from the MPAA.
  6. "RoboCop 3" would not be the first time Robert John Burke and Jill Hennessey would appear together in a production. They would also star in Law & Order, although the TV show would turn out better for Burke than Hennessey. Burke continues to appear on the long-running drama. Hennessey's character was killed off in the sixth season.
  7. Nancy Allen only signed on to be in "RoboCop 3" because she was promised that her character would be killed early on, which is why Anne Lewis is killed in the first half of the film. Oh by the way, spoiler alert.
  8. Peter Weller chose to be in "Naked Lunch" over starring as RoboCop again. Apparently that was more appealing than another metal cyborg meltdown.
  9. One of the newspapers Annie Lewis is reading in "RoboCop 3" is headlined "Amazon War Escalates." This is a reference to the Amazonian women in the RoboCop comic books, not the Amazon River.
  10. That was not a bolt of lightening that struck RoboCop in front of the church in "RoboCop 3." It was actually a grenade from a M203 grenade launcher.
