After being framed for murder, Joe Bearclaws has escaped from prison and is on the run from Ranger Steve Howard. They finally meet in the Cherokee Strip, but that's an area where Howard has no authority. After Joe is framed for another murder, Howard sees that he has been innocent all along and together they must find the real killer.
