Whether he’s a Nazi-hating archeologist or single-handedly defending Air Force One from Russian hijackers, Harrison Ford is a force to be reckoned with. And in this big screen adaptation of Tom Clancy’s bestseller, Ford turns his rage toward the Irish, or more specifically, a fringe group of terrorists from the Irish Republican Army. Ford plays CIA analyst Jack Ryan (yes, the same Jack Ryan portrayed by Alec Baldwin in The Hunt for Red October), who stumbles into an international incident between British royals and IRA rebels. Ryan saves the day and kills one of the bad guys -- the beloved baby bro of the group’s captured ringleader (Sean Bean). As luck would have it, the vengeful terrorist escapes custody and Ryan’s wife and daughter become his next targets. In this 1992 action-adventure, Harrison Ford strikes his best “righteous vigilante” pose and takes you on a nail-biting ride to the finish.
