Le Sauvage

In this Venezuela-set romantic comedy-adventure, a young bride, Nelly, gets cold feet and flees the altar with her irate groom in hot pursuit. She carries with her a priceless stolen painting. Nelly flees into the hotel room of a perfume maker who has fled both his marriage and his failing business and now lives on a desert island, except for brief trips to Caracas to sell home-grown vegetables. She makes him help her by taking her to his island. Two attempts to rid himself of her fail and his peace and tranquility are further disrupted when her fiance, his wife and his board of directors track him down.
