High Noon

Fifty years before Jack Bauer made his mark in real-time drama, town marshal Will Kane (Gary Cooper) watched and sweated as the clock ticked down to straight-up twelve. As the movie begins, the marshal intends to ride off into the sunset with his new bride and take up a less dangerous line of work. But news that a pardoned criminal bent on revenge is arriving on the noon train leaves Kane with an epic dilemma: flee to safety, or stay and fight?
