Elvis Presley and Donna "Elly May Clampett" Douglas star as riverboat performers in the midst of a fiery love affair-fiery in no small part thanks to Johnny's gambling debts and Frankie's jealousy over her beau's new red-haired "good luck charm," Nellie Bly. But if we've learned anything from the canon of Elvis musicals, it's that there's no wrong that can't be righted with a sassy song-and-dance number.
