Dreamchild

PG 1985 | 94 mins | Drama

In 1932, 80-year-old Alice Hargreaves comes to New York for the 100th anniversary celebration of the birth of Lewis Carroll. She starts to think back to her childhood, and to dream of Wonderland and all of its colorful characters. Gradually, though, as more and more memories resurface, Alice begins to feel troubled by recollections of the strange intensity of Carroll's passion for her – a passion that she, as a child, had never understood. Ian Hold is children's author Lewis Carroll in this poignant fantasy-drama populated by the fabulous special effects creatures of Muppet master Jim Henson.
