A proud but aging jewelry salesman (Robert Forster) is forced to train his own replacement (Donnie Wahlberg), a brash kid whose every move rubs him the wrong way. But in no time at all, the tables are turned as the student talks the teacher into curing his loneliness at a small town massage parlor. Unfortunately, the traveling duo soon find out that gems, gals and guns make a dangerous combination.
