Death Race 2000

Before The Hunger Games, before The Running Man, futuristic dystopian America was crazy for another brutally bloody sport-turned-reality-show: a cross country auto race that's less about crossing the finish line first and more about plowing down as many pedestrians as possible along the way. This campy cult classic manages to satirize our thirst for violence while whole-heartedly quenching it, in a Roger Corman-produced melee of B-movie mayhem starring a pre-Rocky Sylvester Stallone and a post-Kung Fu David Carradine.
