Condemned

Ronald Colman is a convict sent to Devil's Island where he finds love and understanding from Ann Harding, the gentle and beautiful wife of the brutal warden. The forbidden romance flowers when Colman is made a trust-servant in the warden's home. The warden becomes aware of the love between his wife and the prisoner and, fiercely jealous and filled with hate, decides to punish the lovers.
