Sunset and Smiley help an old sheriff buddy avenge the murder of a crusading newspaper editor killed while battling an outlaw gang. The gang leader plans to railroad his own sheriff into office, deputize the gang, and continue terrorizing the town. Sunset decides to run against the gang candidate in the election, but can he and Smiley run the outlaws out of town?
