Beat is the true story of two murders that shaped the lives of some of the most influential writers of the "Beat Generation". From their early college years to becoming Expatriates in Mexico, William S. Burroughs (Kiefer Sutherland) and his wife Joan Vollmer (Courtney Love) are haunted by the murder of a friend in college by another one of their closest friends. Their obsessive love eventually pushes them to the limits and once again murder is part of their legacy.
